Please remember that Pilates is a non competitive activity and that its goals might require you to think in a way that you are unused to! It is a slow, accumulative learning process which challenges each individual differently. As such, a positive outlook and a sense of humour will always be welcomed in any lesson.

All lessons are subject to 24 hours notice in order to be placed on the 'swap list'. This does not guarantee that you will make up your missed lesson within a time period that is ideal for you, as they can only be made up as time becomes available. However, no time limit will be placed on these replacement lessons.

The only restrictions are:

(1) 24 hours notice (late cancellation will not be refunded)

(2) currently registered as an active student

(3) lessons must be made up within the same year. (Christmas might be an exception to this so do discuss with me!)

All fees are payable monthly and strictly in advance. Fees have been calculated based on 4 lessons per month so as to balance out 5 week months and public holidays. The studio will close for Easter and Christmas. Any other holidays taken will be considered as missed lessons with the ability of 'catching up' later (providing adequate notice has been given). Should you be away longer than one or two weeks, lessons can be charged for on an ad hoc basis, with the required one month's notice given and the student may then re apply to join the studio on return. However, the time slot and availability of space in the studio can not be guaranteed.

It is in your best interest to attend your lessons regularly. This may mean a time management learning curve! However, it is unrealistic to expect all the fabulous results that Pilates is famous for if you don't attend the lessons as they were designed to be attended. It is considered to be optimal to have at least 3 sessions per week These do not all have to be 'studio' time - eg: 1 reformer class, a matwork class and a home practice session should be sufficient. Please discuss this with me as each person is different in their requirements and options.

Communications will be via email, text message, telephone and web site.

Please dress comfortably in clothing that is quite ´body hugging´ as the more I can see, the more I can help you! Please bring a hand towel to each class. No shoes are required.

Stress and illness or injury must be brought to my attention at the start of every lesson.

It is advisable to get your doctor's permission before embarking on a new fitness regime.

The only lesson that is guaranteed is the one that has been allocated to you in the timetable. Replacement lessons are to be used as a last resort only.

Regular attendance in your allocated slot is expected in order to ensure your safety and progress.

Lessons are strictly not transferable to anyone else without my prior consent.

Mobile phones should be turned off in lessons.

Punctuality is a necessary courtesy and late arrivals may join the class at my discretion only (not applicable for Private sessions) - this is to ensure your safety!

Personal hygiene is also to be considered a necessity and a courtesy so please ensure that feet are clean, toenails are short and that any wounds etc are adequately covered.

Fees for classes are not refundable or transferable on cancellation.

One months written notice is required if you decide to leave or you will incur a fee to the equivalent of 4 extra lessons.

I reserve the right to terminate a lesson or not to teach any person or class should their behaviour be in any way offensive or violent to my person or to any other member of the studio.
